My Deathpoint and All My Items Got Deleted

Had something similar happen. Friends were fighting a brute by the water, a friend died on a rock that was on the coast and his death point fell through the rock. We tried to get it with a pick axe but then his death point vanished, taking 40 hours worth of armor, tools and loot with it.

My Husband had this happen when we were playing. We were in the swamp area setting up a base and being attacked by blobs. We defeated them but my husband was poisoned and died again. I ran around and could not find his tombstone and when he returned through the portal we could not find any of his stuff.

Same thing also happened to me. I died mid-jump on the shore. No death point so I lost everything.

Same here, entered the swamp biome, got poisoned by an ooze then a wraith finished me. Went back to the skull mark with no death point . Hours of loot lost.

I also had a similar situation where I had died on a slope of a hill and once I returned, my stone and loot had been all gone. Incredibly frustrating and demotivating to continue playing once you lose so many hours of progress.

Similar thing happened to me also. Died while fighting the elder with 2 friends, went back mid fight to try and reclaim my items but died as I was unable to interact with my original tombstone (the prompt was there but pressing "e" didn't do anything). The original tombstone just disappeared and took ~25 hours worth of gear with it. I did see tombstones when I went back to the area after the fight, but I was unable to interact with them, and they would disappear after about 10 seconds. I was not the host, my friend was the host.

I was in the mountain region when I got attacked by wolves and they killed me, spent 30 minutes getting reequipped just to be able to survive and when I finally fought my way back to it the grave and all of it's items were gone. That was all of my progress that's just gone now. I really want to try to get the stuff back, but there isn't any way to retrieve it.

Something similar happened to me, was mining silver in a mountain and died, when I went to get my stuff it was gone. I tried to logout before I died to save myself, but I had already died, when I logged back in I couldn't find my gravestone.

Same thing happened to my friend and I, we were in the plains with full iron armor and upgraded almost fully when we lost both our death markers and loot. Hours (or even 2 or 3 days) of work gone. POOF! :(

Same, my one friend lost his loot when he just died usually by a goblin, he didn't lose connection or server stopped. He just usually go back to claim his loot and it was all gone.

Same for me. Playing on my friends server, died while building and falling down a few times, and the last time my stone and loot was all gone. What hurt most was that we had just spent a lot buying a belt, which now is gone :/

bei mir ist es auch passiert. habe es in dunkel Wald ebene und sumpf ausprobiert. bekomme kein Grabstein mehr zum looten. egal wie oft ich sterbe. daher macht es 0 Sin das spiel weiter zu spielen !!!

Same thing happened to me! We were in the Plains and died inside the town near the spawners. My loot sunk to the ground along with all my blacksmith gear that took me 60 plus hours that i worked for. Please help!

I've had this happen twice now as well as two times to two other people who play with me. Died to Elder and the tombstone was teleporting around inside of different mobs/entities and the second the tombstone consumed like it gave me items but nothing was given. Have lost many hours of grinding from this.

It happened to me and a friend. Once in the mountain, once in the plains. No problem with the server, our death marker were on the map, but no tombstone. It is quite demotivating when you have to downgrade from full iron to a few piece of rag and bronze.

I died and the tombstone didn't pop out of my body as normal. I ran back to the spot and of course nothing was there but i did have the death marker on the map to show my bodys location

My brother's gravemarker was lost during our climb into a mountain biome. It was spotted in 3 locations (presumably some glitch) prior to it being lost. Whenever we ping the location of his marker on the map, it shows up far beneath the mountain. We've tried to dig through to get it but hit bedrock that cannot be broken through. This is a very unacceptable bug for a concept such as dropping all your inventory when you die as it completely eliminates our ability to get anything back, even when braving the dangers of the world. This gotta be addressed or at least give us an option to retain inventory upon death in a server setting. This is far to punishing to be left in. Please, even with little upvotes Devs, address this ASAP.

Stuff bug
I was going to a crypt, i went in it, at the moment i entered in few mobs as blobs jumped to face I died instantly. When i came back my stuff was visible from the outside of the crypt inside it, but impossible to get it back. When i go inside it's not there, and from outside, jumping and spamming E does not work. We tried everything we could but impossible to get my full iron stuff and potions....

So prior to this past patch i had 70+hrs played time with little to no bugs. Now after this patch i have lost my body 3 times and everyone playing on the server gets sporadic desync. Several other people have lost their inventories as well. I just farmed my way back up to iron after loosing all my silver gear just to get my body thanos snapped again. I check for an .fch.old file to rename and the game didnt even make one for my character. Like i dont know what changed and if anyone was losing their inventories before this last patch?

This happen to me with wolf armour, and cape and sea serpant shield and ancient bark bow, all in all 70 hours of stuff gone. Really makes me just want to stop playing. This has happened to my friend as well and because of this it did make him stop playing.

I had a similar problem. I died during building. My tombstone was visible on the mini map and in-game, but I couldn't open it. I quit the game. After restarting, the tombstone was gone incl. all my stuff, though it was still being displayed on the mini map.

We lost our death spot fighting Bonemass thought we maybe just raged missed it after almost having him dead but we still cannot find the loot anywhere very tilting. First bug I have encountered great game still!

I think a common thing here is being on the shoreline. I have personally seen this bug happen twice in pretty much the same spot at different times.

After 120 hours this has happened to me. I could deal with all of the other issues but this is like a game over until/if its ever fixed.

Happened on the border of Plains and Mountain biome.

Happened to my brother, Twice in two different play sessions. Really ruins the game when all your hard work can be destroyed forever in a flash. Hope this one gets fixed ASAP

Just lost my body as well... I know most my stuff... but yeah, gone. Shows where my body should be, i'm sure it spawned the thing it probably just fell thru the world or something. Would be nice if you had an admin command to summon all your death stones if you're inside 10m radius or something.

I'd just get over it and spawn new gear, if the spawn command wasn't so opaque. spawn Bronzepickaxe, or is it "Bronze Pickaxe" or ??????

Two of my friends at different times have had their gear disappear. one lost a full copper set to ooze in a crypt. and another lost their full iron set to a deathsquito. They appear to clip on the enemy at the time of death then vanish

Got hit by the same bug, we where fighting a troll in a Troll cave and hade 2 hp left when I left the cave, right after the I spawn outside the cave my character died, and I could see the runestone thru my friends stream (outside of the cave). After 5 sec the runestone disappeared and I couldn't find it inside or outside of the cave but the death mark was still indicating the location. I hade my character backup yesterday so didn't lose to much progress.

It happened with two friends of mine in my dedicated server. Both in Mountain envirounment and both dying over a stone. The last The deathpoint was visible, but when I get close it disappeared. My friend died again and I was waiting in the place of the first death. so when he came close, a deathpoint appeared inside my friend, as an "armor". When I pointed the cursor on it, appeared only "Here has" and nothing happend when I pressed E. I killed my friend, and the dethpoint started to fly up slowly. I broken the stone floor and it falled, but still without any action. And only me was able to see the deathpoint. It was so frustranting. Up to 86 hours played... My friend stop playing.

Same, i died in a crypt with ALL my stuff and my grave is not visible on the game - how can i recover my items ? Because i cant play with the risk of losing more hours of play

I was playing with my friends and during the fight on Swamp, I have died. However, when I respawned there was no mark for my death place (tomb) and as a result all of my items were deleted.
Could you please provide me with the instructions how to restore it? Or please suggest any other solutin to this issue.

Fought with a friend as a joke. Near the winter biome, a bird was dragged over them. He died me too. He took the loot and I didn't. eventually broke and disappeared. -40 hours of play no longer want to play the game.

Happened to me aswell, i crash quite often. Normally thats annoying but ok sisnce i get reset to a character state a couple minutes back. But this time i got reset to a naked death run. So all my stuff is now gone. RIP Wolf Armor Set.

Just happened to me while exploring with my friend. Deathskito killed me... walked back to my body... got my stuff back just to die again a few step away cause of the same deathskito lol. Then walked back to my body to find... nothing -_-

We have lost everything too. I run the server on my PC. In the plains while fighting fulings. After one of my deaths where everything was left in my death bag, I died in my attempt to retrieve it. This I have done many times without issue. Then when i made it to my death bag again I was unable to access any inventory. then i died a second time and when I spawned at a nearby bed I came back as a male character, I was originally made female. then the screen flashed and started moving my body around the map. I went from the Plains then Dark Forest, then a fuling camp in the plains then back in the dark forest. then back in a fuling camp. after that I was able to move but forward and backward only, then I took off running in place across the ocean floor. Then my team mate had his death bag disappear from the screen while fighting and trying to retrieve his stuff. at that point while I was running on a grey screen, I shut down the game and rebooted. I woke on a diff island.

I got killed in the swamp biome by a slime it was called untitled_blob I got poisoned by 2 of them and was running to my death and when I came back, my tombstone was no where to be found same exact thing happened to my friend right before as well. Just lost everything I spent so much time for, and this also happened last night too. Except I died in my base and I respawned in the base instantly and when I respawned my tombstone was no where to be found again.

after the patch of 0.145.6 which presume to fix the problem of missing tombstone, it happened twice to me and friends. Resulted in loss of many hours of gameplay :(

Happened to me and two of my friends in a period of two days. This is a game crippling bug. I can't and won't play the game anymore until this is fixed. Shame. I really enjoyed this game.

Same thing happened to me, I was fighiting Salmon in top of stone building, the rocks below me were destroyed so I fell to my dead. My friends were able to see my gravestone but I wasn't. We restarted the server and my stuff was gone and no death poin :(

Despite the patch that should fix that problem my tombestone disappeard again today. I died close to the water by a Troll and i guess my tombestone sank into the water, cause it was nowhere to be found.
2nd time i lost all my items, whole armor and all weapons. I will not play any more if you guys are not able to fix this

Was fighting 3rd Boss and died. Went to retrieve my gravestone and it showed nothing inside it. Then it disappeared. Lost 40+ hours worth of loot and progression.
