Ward feedback
People can destroy wards, what is the point of a ward if it can be destroyed?
People can see wards because of the glow..
We need massive fixes because our base is getting griefed..
Server commands of the owner aren't working.. ID banning doesnt work because of family sharing. People are flying so walls are no point.
We need wards to be FULL protection. No destruction no nothing.
Please fix asap.

Steffen-wards shouldn't take any damage by any tool or weapon of any other players than the permitted ones and owner
-give us an option to force pvp on or off which also does that nothing can damage of not permitted players, when it's off
The answer which I've got on the official Valheim discord 'Don't give the password to players you don't know' is just really disappointing when it's that easy to solve the whole problem! -

Currently wards seem to be mostly a tool for griefing other players, as they do not prevent destruction -

leaperA server I just started playing on got griefed with wards. The player used some kind of hack to go into the ground, made a hole with a pickaxe under buildings, placed a ward and flew off again.
The ward idea is cool but its not working as intended and just used to grief :(
Plus any chest/door can just be broken down and the contents still looted.
Suggestion:
Wards should prevent any destruction.
Monsters should not be able to even enter the zone.
Server admins must have some way to override the ward to reverse griefing. -

Smooth"The player used some kind of hack to go into the ground, made a hole with a pickaxe under buildings" AKA Undermeshing. ARK was plagued by this kind of exploit for years and AFAIK still is. This became a huge problem when they implemented cross-server raiding. Hopefully this awesome game won't go down that path.

LeoYes, ward should be part of a config.
We for example would love to have it more realistic, so for us the ward should only do what is written in the description: lock doors.
So we have to build a proper base with storage rooms/safes/cellars.
So Config examples (for players whom not allowed):

NayashiSeriously? Wards can be burried under ground and as such cant be broken if done right. I.e. No problem.
I view wards as a method to protect from people using the hammer to instantly wreck your structure. Not more not less.
Imho with good placement of portals, moats+wards griefing is near impossible unless people hack/cheat with flight.
I would suggest - leave warda as they are - make them have a larger zone beyond which other wards cant be placed and introduce any sort of protection against cheats/hacks, as they are the bigger issue on public servers.
Or... People can just share their server passwords with less people? -

CrynidemthBelieve that the intention of wards was for PvP servers, making structures invulnerable would only make things worse e.g. what if your griefer blocks up the new player spawn zone or your house with a building/walls, wards it and quits server?
This is more of a human idiocy issue than dev problem, there is no fix for it and is not a priority at all, let alone for ASAP. -

JasonMake it so admins can do this perhaps, that way they can protect the parts of their server they want. Or if they have friends they also want to protect they could give them admin or some other role. Or fix the other side of things like cheatswords and mods that can level a whole city in 5 seconds. Multi-player, public servers need to be able to put controls in.
