Controls out of control (gamepad fix)

Can't play with controller after disabling the gamepad

Played over 7 hours, but have to repeatedly quit the game as the controller starts running round in circles on the spot, only way to fix is to disable the the gamepad in game settings then restart the game, longest playtime I have had before getting this is 2 hours, sometimes takes me several attempts restarting the game start the game with gamepad disabled in game settings load game then enable gamepad support and play until it starts spinning round again, really love this game so I do hope this issue is resolved as I play using my front room tv so I have no option but to play with controller.
