Player stuck on respawn
A player should not be able to build a bed if it will cause them to get stuck after respawning.
I built a bed as close to the sloped roof of an abandoned starter hut as I could. After respawning I got stuck in the roof. I could not dodge roll out from under the roof. I spent 10 minutes punching the thatch roof until it was destroyed. I was then free, and moved the bed to the center of the hut.

frankieboiI agree, perhaps the bed should include a bounding box for the player spawn.
In an effort to further this suggestion, perhaps the player spawn position can be one of many; say for instance, to the side or foot of the bed.
In this case, the bed could have multiple bounding boxes that would fit the player inside - but only one of these boxes would be required to occupy a space which is not occupied by anything else.
When the bed's structural integrity is recalculated, it could recalculate the bounding boxes and deconstruct itself if all spawn positions are obstructed. This should even help mitigate the issue of spawn-blocking after initial placement as well.
