Camera won't stop rotating!
My brother just bought me the game to try it out with him. So during character creation i notice the character keeps rotating on its own without me even pressing anything. I thought it was just part of the game so i ignored it. after finishing customizing my character i jumped into my brother's world. When the game started, the camera was rotating on it's own! I then realize it's not part of the game. So i left the world and went back to the menu, Again, the character rotates on it's own without me pressing anything. Now i decided to exit the game to fix it on my own. I later found out i still had xbox controller still connected the steam, it might've clashed with keyboard and mouse issues. so i unplugged it. And still, it continues.
Thing's i tried to do to fix the problem:
- restarted the game
- restarted steam
- disabled controller(s) for the game
- reinstalled
- checked for corrupted files ( there was none, remember i am completely new to the game still)
- restarted computer.

WidrickI had a flight stick plugged in that caused this. Unplugged the stick and it worked.

GockelI've had the same "issue". But, for me it work with this "simple" setting in game options.
Before you start, go to the Options, Controls, "activate Gamepad" and disable this point. Then restart and join a game. -

ThuggersI had the same issue and disabling the controller did fix the camera rotating. However, I have had other issues chief among them is that for some reason Valheim thinks my UP key is pressed, all the time. I have been having issues with selecting things and I thought it was because my screen resolution is scaled from normal. But I cannot change the screen resolution because when I try to scroll down the resolution settings list it simply scrolls back up by itself. Same for any other setting, if I try and change something you see it cycle through all the settings until it hits the top. I have unplugged any device that might be sending weird signals, checked my keyboard for any stuck keys, I cannot find anything that might be sending this false 'up'. HELP!

YuviI have had this problem as well. Playing mouse and keyboard works as described, but no matter what on my desktop enabling the gamepad breaks the camera!
I have played on my laptop with a controller no problem, so I am not sure what problem is specific to one computer as opposed to another. -

YuviI have tried disabling the drivers for every controller I have ever had, unplugged all my controllers -- enabling the gamepad makes the camera spin seemingly no matter what.
