World not loading in?

Honestly idk where or how to discribe this bug. for all i know it's commonly knowen.
it was a case of out of no where while my friends and i started mass digging in the ground to build our homes. we had killed the second boss a few hours before and had a very random heavy set lag spike for myself and one other. so i did the taboo of opening my task manager and closing the game down. ever since then my game (to my friends server only) just can't load in or sync. i get the odd time when my home loads in but my chest's or portals won't work, and if i can place thing's in chest's they disapper when i crash or logout. i myself am at a lose of what i can do.
