Server Join Bug after Update 0.145.6

I've run into an issue with the latest update, I host a dedicated server for me and some friends. Since the last update, they get a perma black screen after entering the password and my server cmd gets spammed with the following error:

src\p2pengine\p2pjinglewrapper\socketclient.cc (878) : Assertion Failed: size <= 1024 * 1025

Versions are good, they tried reinstalling, making a new character, I've tried changing the password, loading a backup world, making a brand new world, tried just hosting the server from in the game instead of dedicated and the same thing keeps happening to them. I can always join but what is seemingly randomly they can join like 1 in 10 different things we try but its always something different and if they disconnect and rejoin it doesn't let them back in.
