Raise Ground should stop at walls

I excavated a cellar with a pickaxe. I wanted to raise the ground outside to the previous level, but everytime I try it also raises the ground indoors. I am now left with either dirt inside of my house or a gap in between the walls and the surrounding ground.

Maybe a good change in general would be that no ground is allowed inside houses or spaces enclosed by walls.
