Bonemass AI can be broken by structures and meleed to death
You can make a 1x1 house with door, half walls and 45 angle roof. This makes Bonemass come next to you but it doesn't do any attacks. Probably any kind of house works but haven't tested.
With stairs in the house you can use melee attacks to kill Bonemass while he just stands there. This also works against some other bosses like The Elder.
Another "exploit" is building up on the trees so he can't reach you (and then use frost arrows) but this isn't really an issue with his AI.

When I do the same. Bonemass just smashes my little hut to pieces and attacks me. (and his adds shoot arrows at me) -

Smiffe AdminThe issue is that bonemass wants to stand next to you. but since you are enclosed, he can't. so he tries to push you so he can get next to you..
