AI Patch causing monsters to avoid players and attack buildings.
Monsters are choosing to attack buildings over players. Fuling went around player and avoided another to attack a nearby building. Placing a workbench caused everything within a large range to come and attack the structure.

It works like this in the current system.
If a monster cannot target the player. It will attack player placed items instead for a period of time. When that period of time is over, the monster will once again try to target the player if they are able to.
If the monster see both you, and a workbench (priority target), it will still target you before the workbench. -

Since the patch at the moment the mobs will prioritise structures over the player to the point where it's even odds if they will actively path around the player to attack walls or attack the player. It's not restricted to when they have no path to you.
They will sometimes lose interest in you mid fight to run and attack walls.
We are running no mods on the server. -

DanIt is absolutely bugged / not working as you think/intended.
Here's a fuling attacking a fence, then blatantly walking right by my character to attack a workbench, only focusing me after I hit it first. This is bad AI.

frankly, if THIS is intended behavior, you need to rethink it badly, it's not fun to have to rebuild your base every 10 minutes while getting completely ignored by the enemies destroying it -

THIS is not what's happening. They are consistently avoiding the player to attack structures even when the player is the first thing they see. They are prioritizing structure over player on a regular basis even when pathing is equal. Even when the player is right next to them when they go from alert and investigating to aggressive and then attack a structure that is meters past the player. -

camobargeGood to hear it is being looked at. Was checking reddit to see if others were having the same issue (AI attacking structures, and i mean really attacking structures, swarming like the buildings are thier worst enemy, while i try to get them to pay attention to me!). I am just happy that it is noted, and identified for possible tweeks. I have never WANTED mobs to kill me instead of all my hard work until now .... lol
Seriously, this game is the first time, in a very long time that I have been so excited, and so immersed into a game in a very, very long time. Great work! Just get the AI back on target and we will all be good. -

Tim wileyI think this is a brilliant change not a bug... It forces you to think more strategically about when/where/how you fight and how you prepare your camp...
